BLURB:
She ’d been pretending to be 18 for so long, it felt like the truth.
When the only way for 15 year old Kip Chanin to earn a living is as paparazzi, she can’t say no.
Kip’s first photo is of Alex Milne, the handsome and volatile young actor. That one photo changes both their lives.
Lesson One--You do what you have to in Hollywood to survive.
Flash. You’ve been pap snapped.
EXCERPT:
A moment later, the door opened again and a young woman with long brown hair exited with a tall young man.“Oriel!”
She wanted this. She was posing for them while pretending to be annoyed she wasn’t given any privacy.
He took it in good stride.
I moved to the side of the group since they were all crushing at the girl.
A bouncer held out his arms to hold the photographers back. I couldn’t get a shot of her but there was something about him.
I started backing up which wasn’t hard since I was absolutely at the back of the pack.
While the paps rushed forward to follow her, the way cleared as a valet brought his car. He went around to the driver’s side door, slipped the guy a tip and started to get in.
I was behind the car at that point, right at the bumper.
He turned to look at me.
I had the camera raised waiting for the shot.
He opened his eyes so slightly that it was almost undetectable but shrieked confidence.
That was my shot.
Flash. The shutter released. I lowered my camera. “Thank you.”
He smiled, got in the BMW convertible and drove away.
