Synopsis:
His last chance was their only hope.
In this new, best-selling, periodical short story series from Trestle Press, a man on the brink of self-destruction is given the opportunity to start over.
Waiting for the inevitable change, Allan tries to decide if it is for the best. He is visited by his friend Ben Abrim and the older man shares an awe-inspiring story of how Karsten Field came to be.
Allan’s wife Tina has made her decision, leaving Allan to start his first day as a teacher.
My thoughts:
I had mixed emotions about this section of the story. I have enjoyed following Allan and family through their journey into assimilation in Amish life. However, I was really disappointed in Tina's decision. I can't help but wonder what is going to happen in the next section! I recommend this book to all who like reading about Amish life :)
