16-year old Emily has accepted her fate with each weakening beat of her heart, but after her best friend's brother and sister arrive in town and turn out to be more than what they appear, Emily's life is turned upside-down. When their friendship includes confronting wizards who harbor dark secrets and dancing with an elf prince, Emily discovers there are some things still worth living for.
I absolutely LOVE the cover of this book. It's intriguing, and shows you enough of the mysticism portrayed in the book that you can't help but want to check it out. The author definitely has something going here! The story line was so well written that you couldn't help but keep turning the pages. I loved how the author described the characters in such a way that you felt you knew them. I laughed, cried, and got just plain pissed so much throughout this book that I'm seriously wondering if I need counseling from the emotional whiplash...or at least the next book in the series ;) Now with that said, anyone who loves paranormal would be just plain nuts if they didn't pick up this book. So do it. Now. Before she realizes what a great thing she has going and starts charging Trad Pub prices ;)
