Touch of the Gods by DX Luc Blog Tour Interview/Giveaway

About the Book:
Give me the blurb for the book in 140 characters or less:
When love and war make a little wager, what could possibly go wrong?

I am Hephaestus. God of inventions, blacksmiths, and volcanoes. Sounds like I'm awesome right? Well, I'm not. In fact, I'm the loser of Olympus and a new bachelor to boot. Living the single life is great until a decade passed. Honestly if my divorce from the Goddess of Love wasn't bad enough, I am still being rejected by the other women of my home.

Because of an incessant need to make me a pawn in his game, my brother, Ares convinces Eros to make a little bet. A wager that puts my lack of love life to the test. Sent to Earth, I'm skeptical, when suddenly I lose myself in the sensual scent and beauty of the full bodied Vanessa. She is my everything, my perfection.

Sadly, from a single caress upon her silky flesh, I sent our lives into a downward spiral of hell. To save her, I must get beyond my demons of the past. And to save me, she will have to decide if I'm worth giving up everything for.

Do you have a favorite character? Why is he your favorite?

I would have to say Eros is my favorite character. I believe that everyone needs to have that friend who sees the cup half full all the time to keep the world turning. Eros, the God of Love, is just that guy. He has so much faith in 'Happily Ever After' that he believed in Hephaestus to find his one and only true love.

What do you hope readers will get from your book?

I hope my readers finally see that even the underdog can come out on top. Both my hero and heroine have flaws about themselves and yet they manage to pull through in the name of love.

About the Author:
What/Who inspires you?

As cheesy as it sounds, my kids. I have three amazing kiddos and while I want to take the credit for their total awesomeness, I can't. I can only sit back and continue to watch them make me smile, laugh, and beam with pride everyday.

Hardest aspect of writing? Best/Easiest?

Letting my story end. I have the hardest time saying goodbye to my characters. I think it's why I write in series because then I can revisit them. When I wrote this book and I knew I was coming to the end, I struggled with doing writing the last chapter. Not because I didn't have it planned out, but because I wanted to be with my hero and heroine a bit longer.

Who is your writing hero?

Edgar Allen Poe. Hands down.

About the Future:
What’s next for you?

I have one book, a second portion to a series that has been contracted already and I do plan on working on the sequel to Touch of the Gods sometime in the fall.

One outrageous goal for the future?

To hug and snuggle with a tiger. Largest cat in the world? Sign me up!

Do you have any advice you'd like to share with other aspiring writers?

Do not ever stop loving what you write. Don't stop remembering why you write. It's a passion and even when rejection letters or bad reviews come, don't let those bring you down. We write to bring the world our creativity and we love it. Spread the love.

Beach, plains or mountains? Live on the coast so it has to be the beach for me.

Online, letters or in person? I like being around people so I would have to be in person.

Ebook or print? It used to be print, but with three small kids I tend to find drawings in my favorite books anymore these days.

Hacienda Moon by KaSonndra Leigh Release Day Blitz

Hacienda Moon
A Pathseekers Novel
Synopsis
Love, obsession, and betrayal, the most powerful human emotions, are spun together in this gothic novel. Tandie Harrison is a police medium who has just suffered a divorce after losing both her psychic visions and her daughter in a car accident. When she leaves New York City to start a new life near her hometown, she moves into the alluring plantation house, Chelby Rose, and falls for its enigmatic caretaker, Eric Fontalvo. Their burgeoning affair ignites a century old curse, ensnaring them in a web of danger, deceit, and intrigue. Soon Tandie learns that in placid Bolivia, the worlds of the living and the dead are dangerously connected.

Hacienda Moon is a seductive tale of one woman’s journey to confront the demons of her past and find the courage to face her future. It is a mesmerizing novel that explores the deepest depths of human nature, and the characters will hold and haunt you long after you have read the final chapter.

Excerpt
Crowds, noise, loudspeakers, coffee smells: words that described Raleigh-Durham’s airport. There wasn’t much difference between New York’s JFK and North Carolina’s RDU. The noise and crowds were all the same in these places. An airport was still just another way of transporting someone from one life-changing situation to the next. And Tandie’s journey was about to begin again in a small town located about twenty minutes away from where she grew up.
Waiting at the conveyor carousel, she picked up her two bags and headed toward the rental-car section. With her head pounding from jet lag, Tandie took the keys from the woman behind the counter and mentally reviewed her driving route. Turning, she collided with a set of broad shoulders. Her handbag fell to the floor, scattering the contents.
Ready to offer a chunk of her tired mind, she opened her mouth to complain, but stopped right away. Her victim was a man. This wasn’t just any man, though. He stood just under six-feet-tall, and had gorgeous dark hair flopping over a ridiculously handsome face. Dressed in a dark-blue shirt and gray cargo pants, the man knelt down right away to help pick up Tandie’s things.
“I’m sorry, ma’am,” he said, collecting Tandie’s items, which included tampons and sanitary napkins of all things to drop.
Their eyes met and locked on one another. His hazel-green ones took in her features with one glance. Her stomach flipped as if she were a young girl flirting with a cute guy. And something hitched in her chest, teasing her with a vague memory.
His muscular frame made him seem as if he could crush Tandie’s dainty little bag with one good squeeze. His strong facial features, full lips, and dark olive skin made him look Hispanic.
Damn he’s sexy!
Tandie concentrated on returning her things to the bag. If she were quick, then maybe he wouldn’t see her embarrassing stuff. Too late. He’d already picked up her little green Always bag and placed it back in the satchel without even flinching.
Cringe and die, won’t you?
“I’m such an ox,” he said in a deep voice.
“You’re not the clumsy one. I should really watch where I’m going,” Tandie said, still too embarrassed to look at his face. She was aware of him staring at her, even though she couldn’t figure out why he was doing it. Tandie’s face flushed. Even her golden-brown skin must’ve turned crimson.
Standing up quickly, she stepped on the edge of her pants and stumbled backward. Her unintentional hero caught her with ease, steadying her body. What else would she add to her klutz list? She’d probably do something stupid like slip up and grab his crotch by accident next.
“Thanks. Again, I’m really sorry,” Tandie said and moved around him.
“Wait. Can I carry your bags for you? It’s the least I can do,” he said in a voice to match his looks.
“No. I’ll be fine, thanks,” Tandie said, walking toward the rental-car garage. Behind her, she felt him watching as she scurried away.

Praise for When Copper Suns Fall
“The author's style was fluid and there were lovely passages and lines throughout that I simply loved. The pacing flowed so well I felt like I was on a boat ride, grabbing onto the railings at times when the waves got too rocky until I was able to settle back and begin the ride all over again.”

No Good Deed by Bill Blais Blog Tour Interview/Giveaway

No Good Deed

Author: Bill Blais

Published: March 9, 2012

Synopsis: Kelly McGinnis has spent her adult life trying to do the right thing, but as a newly down-sized mother of twins and the wife of a man living with Muscular Sclerosis, she also knows that trying isn’t always enough.

While interrupting a scene of police brutality, Kelly unwittingly releases a real, live demon. After she manages to kill the creature through gut instinct and blind luck, she is approached to join a secret group of demon hunters who reveal an underworld of monsters and magic. Kelly’s mill town upbringing proves an unexpected asset and the pay more than covers her husband’s treatments, but the work begins to undermine her sense of right and wrong as she struggles to maintain her ‘normal’ life.

When she encounters Umber, a compelling incubus with an unexpectedly human story, Kelly learns that the truth is far stranger and more terrifying than she imagined.

Interview:
About the Book:
Give me the blurb for the book in 140 characters or less:
Bill Blais: Mother and wife takes on demons and magic while trying to balance her normal life, until she learns she may be fighting on the wrong side.

Do you have a favorite character? Why is she your favorite

Bill Blais: I do, but it's the obvious one: Kelly (the protagonist). I really like her as a person, even when she frustrates me, because she's (I hope) very multi-dimensional. She makes most of the choices in the series (my job is to pay attention), continually surprising me and pushing me to rethink my expectations, and this also excites me for the series going forward.

What do you hope readers will get from your book?
Bill Blais: A fun time, first and foremost, and perhaps characters and a story that readers will keep with them well after they've finished. I'm not expecting to change the literary landscape, but I think Kelly is an 'unusually' accessible heroine and I hope the story is exciting and challenges expectations of the genre.

About the Author:
What/Who inspires you?

Bill Blais: On a personal level, that's my wife. It probably sounds trite, but it's the simple truth. She inspires me to reach for the stars and be the best I can be. Story-wise, I'm inspired by courage in adversity, underdogs, and things outside my own (rather mundane) experience.

Hardest aspect of writing? Best/Easiest?

Bill Blais: Starting a book. God I hate that. The knowledge that I am about to pour months of my life into something with no guarantee that the end result will be worth anything at all, usually provides 2-3 weeks' worth of procrastination.

I have two favorite parts: 1) discovering the stories that my characters reveal to me, and 2) revising. The first is probably self-explanatory, but the second is no less exciting to me (perhaps even more so). Revision is where I really dig into the craft (or try to, anyway), working with turns of phrase, word choice, plotting and all the other pieces in a more objective manner and constantly trying to produce the best result possible. This can drive me (and my wife!) insane, of course, and the first one nearly did, but I'm getting better with each book, and that's pretty darn fantastic.

Who is your writing hero?

Bill Blais: For a living writing hero, it's Nora Roberts, hands down. I'm not necessarily a huge fan of her work, but she does the work, day in and day out. I'm not an 'inspirational' writer, myself, and her work ethic is something that resonates with me.

About the Future:
What’s next for you?

Bill Blais: Well, I'm finishing up a more 'traditional' fantasy novel called Another Night at the End of the World, which should be available this summer. Then comes The Road to Hell (the third Kelly & Umber novel) due out this winter, followed by the second book in the All Prophets are Liars series, scheduled for next summer. A science fiction novel is also nearly final, which may appear somewhere in the midst of the above (in case I get bored).

One outrageous goal for the future?

Bill Blais: To be less long-winded. If this doesn't seem outrageous enough, you should see my first drafts…

Do you have any advice you'd like to share with other aspiring writers?

Bill Blais: Write something new every day and read something new every day. It's boring advice, but the best advice usually is. I am by no means a master of the craft (see answer to previous question), but I am constantly trying to get better. Reading gives me exposure to new voices, techniques and experiences, and writing, well, like anything else, it only gets better with practice.

Randomness:
Sweet or salty?

Yes, please (I eat just about anything).

Beach, plains or mountains?
Mountains.

Online, letters or in person?

In-person, with letters coming a close second.

Ebook or print?

Print. Ebooks are awesome, obviously, but I was raised on print and I still love the physicality (and the fact that they never run out of power).

Author Bio:
Bill Blais is a writer, web developer and perennial part-time college instructor. His novels include Witness (winner of the Next Generation Indie Book Award for Fantasy) and the Kelly & Umber urban fantasy series. Bill graduated from Skidmore College before earning an MA in Medieval Studies from University College London. He lives in Maine with his wife and daughter.

Forgive me, Alex by Lane Diamond Blog Tour Review/Excerpt

Synopsis:
Tony Hooper stands in shadow across the street, one amongst many in the crowd of curiosity-hounds gathered to watch a monster’s release. Seventeen years after Mitchell Norton, “the devil,” terrorized Algonquin, Illinois on a spree of kidnapping, torture and murder, the authorities release the butcher from psychiatric prison.

Tony longs to charge across the street to destroy Norton—no remorse—as if stepping on a cockroach. Only sheer force of will prevents his doing so.

“The devil” walks the world again. What shall Tony do about it? Aye, what indeed.

After all, this is what Tony does. It’s who he is. “The devil” himself long ago made Tony into this hunter of monsters. What a sweet twist of fate this is, that he may still, finally, administer justice.

Will FBI Special Agent Linda Monroe stop him? She owes him her life, so how can she possibly put an end to his?

Tony Hooper and Mitchell Norton battle for supremacy, with law enforcement always a step away, in this story of justice and vengeance, evil and redemption, fear and courage, love and loss.

My thoughts:
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The title had me intrigued as to what paths this story was going to take. I loved the format that the author used. While the story bounced around, I had no problem keeping up with which character was talking and what scene they were in. The genre of the book was what originally drew me in, but the storyline was one that had me hooked from the first paragraph. I can't wait to read more from the author :) If you like to REALLY get into a killer's head, then this thriller is the book for you :)
Excerpt:
Mitchell Norton, the man I've long considered the devil, smiles atop the courthouse steps and waves to the simmering crowd. He tilts his head back to soak in the sunshine and cool breeze of the late spring day, the tranquility of which stands in stark contrast to the circumstances of this event.

The mere sight of him pushes me to the dark edge of my mind, where sanity hangs like... like... like a balloon in a tornado!

I stand in shadow across the street, one amongst many in the crowd of curiosity-hounds gathered to watch a monster's release. As my face blazes, fists clench and teeth grind, I can easily imagine the onset of a stroke, an aneurism, a pulmonary embolism, a raging scream—

Control yourself, Tony!

I long to charge across the street to destroy him—no remorse—as if stepping on a cockroach. Only sheer force of will prevents my doing so.

For seventeen years, I assumed this day would never come. How could they even consider releasing this vile creature, this very personification of evil?

In 1978, Norton murdered innocent kids who'd barely tasted of life. He tortured two of them beyond the limits of rational imagination, for to imagine such deeds was to summon a devilry that we dared not face. Yet the jury held him not responsible, a victim himself to the ravages of an illness that drove him to insanity beyond our reckoning.

He thus resides forever in the darkest pit of my psyche, chained to me in perpetuity. Now only two choices remain: I must cast off those chains, or yank them tight around his neck. Yes, I must obtain satisfaction. The idiotic jury seventeen years ago, and today's flawed court system, has left little recourse. No one else seems willing to deliver him to justice.

I am willing. After all, this is what I do. It's who I am. Indeed, the devil himself made me into this hunter of monsters. What a sweet twist of fate this is, that I may still, finally, administer justice.

He descends the stairs toward his waiting car with an arrogant swagger, watching the small group of protestors, the news reporters, and the police officers here to ensure a peaceful transition, as if to challenge them. His wicked grin never waivers.

Oh, that grin. For seventeen years it has taunted me, punished me for my indecision, my incompetence. I missed my chance to kill him in 1978, to remove his damned head—simple, as if cutting a sheet of paper. It would have been a fitting end for a monster.

Why did I let him live?

Like whispers in a storm, those memories only tease at me now, here at this obscene and maddening event. I'm trying not to relive every moment of 1978. Every time I do, I feel as if swimming in quicksand, anchored by my constant companions—sorrow and guilt. I'm too damned tired; can't shake the confusion, the dread. I fear surrendering to fear.

My life teems with just such wretched ironies.

As Norton vanishes inside a black sedan—looks like standard-issue law enforcement—I dash through the crowds to my van. Despite this call to action, my mind again zeroes-in on memories of 1978. I recall the court proceedings, particularly the devil's own twisted testimony, as though it were yesterday. I've only relived it ten thousand times.

Then twenty-six, Norton was a man-child who'd never quite grasped the nuance of adulthood. He continued to wash dishes at a restaurant, ten years into the only job he'd ever held. He found it comfortable and unchallenging—perfect. He harbored no great yearnings, nor imagined exciting possibilities, nor sought lucrative rewards.

Then everything changed. He said that was when his new life emerged, when he became more aware, even more intelligent. He better understood the world around him. He discovered what he called "The Purpose" in the spring of 1978, and it guided his every deed. He claimed he became a man that year.

I remember it quite clearly as the year he became the devil.

The words I wrote in my diary at the time return to me, a personal anthem more relevant than ever: Rage flows like lava through my veins. My soul slowly roasts upon the flames. How did I ever let it come to this?

Now mortality, as it did seventeen years ago, lingers above me like the hangman's noose. Yet it looms more ominous than ever, as if it will drop down around my neck at any moment. After all, I know the true Mitchell Norton. And whom shall I fear if not the devil, the grim torturer who conquered my aspirations and left me without a recognizable world of my own?

Or is it me that I fear? The man I've become? The man Norton made me?

Some fancy maneuvering is required to escape the crowds and the police at the courthouse. I manage to keep Norton in sight, zigzagging between lanes and keeping several vehicles between us, hanging back far enough to avoid detection without losing him. Uncertain emotions bubble up, some indecipherable combination of dread and anticipation, fear and excitement, vengeance and sorrow. I must know where he'll make his home, information that has been difficult to obtain, as the authorities are concerned with Norton's security.

Give me a break! They should express their security concerns not for the devil himself, but for his next victims.

Oh yes, I know Norton too well. He will torture, murder and dismember again. The temptation will be too great to resist.

I saw him up close in 1978, looked into the soul of the devil, as we waded through the blood and gore he'd spilled. I couldn't fathom his unrepentant pleasure, the sick thrill, his gleeful anticipation.

Now he's out of prison, again free to call up his demons, to torture the innocent, to waltz to what he once called his "symphony of screams."

The devil walks the world again.

What shall I do about it? Aye, what indeed.

Promise Me by Tara Fox Hall Blog Tour Character Interview

Synopsis:
Metal shop worker Sarelle “Sar” McGarran is the ultimate tomboy and considers herself capable of handling whatever life throws her way. Recently widowed, she takes refuge in quiet country life until the day she stumbles upon an unconscious vampire on her property. Unable to leave the wounded man, she takes him in.
Danial Racklan is a sexy bad boy with a complicated past and questionable motives. Yet before long, he has Sar completely captivated. He introduces her to his secret, supernatural world, in the process reawakening emotions and desires she hasn’t felt since her husband’s tragic death. Soon Sar finds herself drawn into a dark, dangerous reality in which her desire for Danial is second only to her wariness that he may break her heart. Yet Sar must soon face there is much Danial has kept from her, even as she begins to love him. When Danial asks her for an Oath of forever, will Sar give Danial his greatest desire?

When your lover is a vampire, a promise of forever takes on a whole new meaning…

Interview of vampire Danial Racklan, from Promise Me:

In your relationship with others, how are you different with family than you are with friends? Why?

I tolerate much more from my family, as my brother Devlin is really all the family I have left. My best friend Theo would never dare cross the lines that my brother crosses with impunity. But his position over me in the vampire hierarchy allows him that freedom, so there is nothing I can do, except use Vampire Law whenever I can to outmaneuver him.

How do you decide if you can trust someone? Experience with others? with this person? First impressions? Intuition? Do you test the person somehow? Or are you just generally disposed to trust or not to trust?

I trust practically no one, outside of my guards, and my best friend and partner, Theo. A State Ruler such as myself can’t afford the luxury of trust. This is why Sarelle became so important to me so fast. She risked her life to save mine not once, but twice. To know that I could trust a lover again after so many decades of being alone was a heady, intoxicating experience. I knew I must not lose her, no matter what I had to do. And I knew I had to find a way to protect her from Devlin’s predation, at all costs.

When you walk into a room, what do you notice first? Second?

I first notice the body language of the inhabitants, their number, and if they look at me, because those three things tell me instantly if I need to be ready to defend myself. I am striking, and if someone deliberately doesn’t look up, even just in curiosity, they are someone to keep one eye on. Second, I discreetly watch people’s behavior, to better understand who might be an enemy, or a possible future blood donor. I am rarely at social gatherings, but this applies there, also, except I would also be aware of exits and vantage points above eye level.

Describe yourself to me.

“Tall Dark and Handsome” fits, I am pleased to say. I inherited my mother’s straight dark hair, and her dark eyes. I’m a native Spaniard, but centuries in the dark have paled my skin. My physique is fit and trim, with broad shoulders. I’m equally comfortable in denim and business suits, as the occasion calls. In my mortal life, I was considered abnormally tall, but by today’s standards, I am average, being just shy of 6’.

What do you consider are your strengths?

I am ruthless, passionate, just, knowledgeable, generous, wealthy, and skilled at most things. 400 years does give one time to perfect one’s behavior.

What do you consider your special talent?

My special talent is ferreting out the truth. I love a good mystery, and I confess that love is what has kept me going these many years. I didn’t get a lot of justice in my mortal life…and often not in my early immortal days, either. I truly enjoy bringing to justice criminals that think they have gotten away with their crime, be that murder , theft, or anything in between. Sometimes I allow that justice to be dispensed by humans, and sometimes I bestow it with my own hands.

What's the most important thing in your life? What do you value most?

I value Sarelle. I want to be with her for as long as she lives, to make her life easier than it has been, and to protect her. She deserves to be cherished.

How do you feel about your life right now? What, if anything, would you like to change?

I wish that there were not so many strikes against Sarelle and I. We come from different worlds, and having her join mine has been a struggle. I enjoy my work, and my company Solutions Inc. is very important to me. Sarelle also has a job, and responsibilities that sometimes keep her from being with me. I wish combining our lives was easier. I want us to be happy together.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

That I have lasted 400 years and not gone insane from boredom is laudable, in my opinion. I did many things in my long life, but forming my company Solutions, Inc. has been the most satisfying. And I must give the credit for that to my partner, Theo. Without his help, I could never have taken on some of the bigger, more challenging jobs. I consider our friendship one of the best of my existence. Best friends are hard to find.

What is your greatest fear?

I worry that I am going to lose Sar, that she will decide that it was fun to have a vampire for a lover, but having one as a committed partner for the rest of her life is too much trouble. Yes, vampires as soul mates are all the rage in film and fiction, but in knowing me, Sar has seen how much reality differs from the fantasy. There has been much she has had to accept, like my blood donors, my night hours, my enemies, and my incorrigible brother Devlin. I worry that my love will not be enough to make up for all she has had to go through.

Which talent would you most like to have?

I wish I had the power my brother Devlin does to create other vampires. While I would not do that to Sarelle without her express wish, I know that even if we continue as lovers carefully, exchanging blood only infrequently, Sarelle may still become sick from the virus that makes me vampire. We have seen no signs as yet…but knowing I have no power to save her life, and that I may have to call on Devlin to save her eats at me. I must be able to save her life. I can’t let someone I love die again, not after all the years I spent alone. I will find a way, no matter how long it takes.

Brunswick by Ann Haines Blog Tour Review

Synopsis:
When Jonathan wakes up beside a lake bruised and bleeding, he has no idea how he got there or where “there” really is. He must try to remember how he ended up in this place and why.

When he meets Grace and a group of people that seem to want to help him, he is thrown in to a world that he doesn’t know. Haunted by visions and voices in his head, Jonathan soon realises that this world isn’t as safe as he’d hoped.

Taken from his life and asked to save a land he knows nothing about, from a menacing hooded figure, Jonathan must learn quickly to survive. As he struggles to stay alive long enough to get home he is faced with a deadly choice, Join It or Die. And when it becomes clear that so many would do anything to kill him he must stay close to those who would kill for him.

To stay alive and get home he must face the one thing he never wanted to, the figure in black. And when the hood comes down Jonathan is faced with a revelation that could break him and destroy everything he has fought for.

My thoughts:
I really enjoyed the story line of this book. The concept was very original, which is a refreshing compared to what I have been reading lately. The characters were easy to relate to and the writer described things in a way that you felt like you were in the story. Although ther were some editing issues, the author wrote in such a way that I can't wait to read more from her. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy book :)

Ann Haines is a debut writer from the South East of England. She is a married
mother of two, a horror movie buff, Tweeter, Blogger and a self-confessed geek............................ and GLEEK (much to her sons annoyance).
She has been writing from an early age and even took to illustrations as she went through her teenage years. Although she still sketches as a hobby she now prefers to focus on her writing. At nineteen she became a mother and had to put her writing on hold for a more lucrative job to support her and her son, as it was just the two of them. She never gave up the idea of becoming a writer though and when her son was four he gave her the idea for what is now her first book 'Brunswick'.

After two and half years of writing her book and researching the self-publishing industry, Ann's book 'Brunswick' was published on Amazon. She became part of the Indie Publishing community that she loves and is widely involved in. Over the years she has had many ideas for her work and so we can expect to see much more of this new Indie Author.

Shadow Series by Claudy Conn Blog Tour

Hi everyone!

I am so happy you stopped by. Some of you may know me as Claudette Williams/Melanie Davis, two names I used when I was writing regency and historical romances. I discovered that paranormal opens up a new world of possibilities.

Image of Claudy ConnCreated my Legend series. The first, Spellbound-Legend is now being offered for free as an introduction to the series. In it you will meet Maxine. She has suddenly had a magical world thrust onto her when she discovered what she really was and who the Fae really are.

Aaibhe-Shee Queen is a novella I wrote in response to mail I received from so many readers wanting to know more about my Legend Fae Queen, and it too is FREE. I do so hope you enjoy both.

I am an Indie author now, but have an amazing editor who keeps me in line, and a professional artist who works my book covers. Kudos to both.

In the meantime, some of my historical romance fans have asked for more in that genre and I have been hard at work rewriting and updating my regency romances and making them more realistic and spicy.

Vampires whispered to me and Shadowlove-Stalkers was born as the first in three, each stand alone.

What do I do when I'm not writing? I love the outdoors and my Bob and I are always hiking, swimming, traveling, playing with our wolf and her son and the horses. My daughter and her great husband live nearby and so am very lucky to be able to spend wonderful times with them.
Originally from New York, we now reside in North Carolina. Want to know more and read my 5 star reviews and excerpts? visit me at www.claudyconn.com

Book info:

What do you do when your father wants to turn you into a vampire and the man who offers you protection has his own, dark agenda?
Shawna Rawley has no choice but to run. Pentim Rawley, one of the most evil vampires who has ever lived, has just discovered that she is his daughter. Now he’s obsessed with finding and turning her. She doesn’t want Pentim to find the people she loves and use them to get to her. She doesn’t want him to find and turn her. She has only one ace up her sleeve. The human in her may be at risk, but in addition to being half vamp, Shawna is also a white witch!
Chad MacFare has an offer for Shawna he thinks she can’t afford to refuse: he’ll protect her from Pentim and his minions. But Shawna doesn’t trust the sexy immortal. She knows he has his own agenda—he wants to kill her father, and he wants to set her up as bait…

Her name is Nikki Walker, and she is a vampire slayer. She never thought she would have to use her slayer powers…but she does. She is on the trail of an ancient and secretive vampire called Deadly Moon, and Nikki wants to destroy her. She has her reasons. His name is Damon Drummond who some of you have met before, and already know that he is a hunk of an unusual vampire. He is bent on keeping Nikki away from Deadly Moon. The sociopath vampire, WB, who had been Pentim Rawley’s right hand man has taken over the Pentim clan, and is turning out to be even more of a problem than his predecessor had been. In fact, if someone doesn’t do something soon…Dublin will go dark under his power, and other cities will follow. Damon and Nikki are on opposite sides. He is a potent vampire--she is a skilled and powerful vampire slayer. Problem right there…but, when they look at each other, sparks of all kinds fly. Too much stands between them. He will live forever…she will not…and yet…

Chase MacAdams is a hybrid with extraordinary abilities… Roxie is an Indian beauty, a shapeshifter on her mother’s side and hales from a little known tribe in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Her father is an immortal—Scottish by choice and time. Thus, a friend, Nikki Walker thinks and rightly so, that Roxie will help in the fight against WB and his vampire clan. They need help because the vicious vampire now has Count Dracula on their side and all of Europe is in danger. However, they have given Roxie a difficult task. The team wants her to visit with Chase in the highlands of Scotland and convince him to join in the fight. He has already refused, but Nikki doesn’t think he will refuse Roxie MacBran. And for all the wrong reasons he doesn't…
